are placed in individual foster homes, located all over the Lower Mainland, and
occasionally outside the Lower Mainland.
If you are interested in meeting a Little Paws Rescue dog, please send an email

Princess
My
name is Princess. I am a spayed female five year old papillon.
I am looking for a home with someone who will be very patient with
me and treat me gently with love and affection. In my last
home I was not treated very well and was touched and handled by some
very rough people, as a result this has left me a very scared little
dog, the mom in my foster home where I am staying says I am trusting
a little more every day, my body will tremor when I am touched or
stroked, but I will never snap or try to bite any one, I am a very
gentle dog. I had 13 teeth removed recently by the little paws vet
because my teeth were in such bad condition, I still have five teeth
left which is better than none at all. I love meal times and have a
great appetite. I would like a home with another little dog
for comfort, as this will help me to learn to trust again, I do
enjoy going for walks every day with my foster mom and all her dogs
and behave very well while out for my walk. I love my crate
and will spend time snoozing in it with the door open during the day
while I watch you do your chores around the house. I am housetrained
and enjoy wandering around the yard, so my new home must have a
safely fenced area for me. I am up to date on my vaccinations
and micro-chipped, please give me a second chance and as long as you
are patient and treat me kindly I will learn to trust again.
Please contact Julia@littlepawsrescue.net

Prince
My
name is Prince. I am a very mellow, 7 year old, 10 pound, neutered
male Pomeranian. I am up to date on my vaccination including Rabies
and am micro chipped for I.D. As you can see I have an abundant coat
so brushing and combing almost every day is a must for me. I am very
good for my grooming and enjoy the attention. I am quiet
around the house. I will be very aware of where you are because it
is important to me to be near by. I do complain a little when left
alone but only with a few fairly soft barks. I have learned to eat
and sleep in my crate which I now find quite comfortable. When taken
out to visit I am always on my best behavior, quiet and friendly,
greeting people in a calm way. I have my fun side and like a good
race about. I have a great laugh as you can see in my picture.
I do have an area you will need to help me with. I at one time was
house trained but was not in a situation that kept this in place so
will need some reminders and a consistent schedule to establish
total house cleanliness again. I am really needing a home of
my own with a person(s) that will make me feel special, keep my life
calm and steady, and love me. In return I will be a wonderful, loyal
companion.

Eyerene
My
name is Eyerene, funny name for a sweet little dog but it is a play
on words with my foster mom. I was found on a sand bank in the
middle of some water, someone dumped me off there I think they just
did not want to help me with my sore eyes, you see , I have dry eye,
and had never been taken to a vet for treatment, sadly due to this
neglect my vision is not what it should be. Little paws has now
looked after my eyes and the vet was very nice to me, I now have
medication and they feel so much better, I have had a hair cut too.
I am small and sweet.!!!! I really enjoy going for a walk and my
foster mom is very helpful and kind when we are out, she lets me
know when we come to a curb and when we are going to step down too,
I do have a little vision and I am able to find my way around very
well but I do still need a special home who will give me a little
extra care, but I am worth it. !!!!! I get on well with other dogs
and cats too. Oh.!! I will need to go to a groomer every few weeks
too for my beauty treatment. Eyerene is looking for a special
home, someone who is able to be home with her and pay attention to
where she is, she may also always require medication for her eyes.
Eyerene is about 8 yrs old and is looking for an adult home only, she
is housetrained and will let you know when she needs to go outside
with a little Bark, that little Bark will also tell you when it is
time to get up in the morning for breakfast and that little Bark
will let you know all kinds of things even when she is lonely and
needs a little love or a lap to rest on.!!!! She enjoys company but
very good when left alone. All her vaccinations are up to date and
she is spayed, Please give some thought to Eyenene’s eyes
before you contact Julia for adoption, because they will need care,
maybe for the rest of her life, maybe she will only need an eye wash
a couple of time s a day eventually, at this point we do not know,
one thing we do know is she is a great little girl and deserves a
second chance to enjoy life.

Rex
Hello
my name is Rex. I am a neutered male four year old Shitzu mix. I am
an active dog who loves to go for long walks and love to splash
around in the water. I am good with other dogs but do tend to lunge
a little towards the other dogs when we meet, I have never been
taught how to behave when out for a walk, so I could certainly use a
few sets of obedience classes with my new owner this way we could
bond!! I am a very curious dog and would need a securely fenced in
yard to roam around in. I am a happy dog with a very nice
personality and I am a good watch dog when I hear someone coming to
the house. I would make a great family pet with older children or
another dog for a companion. I am very playful but also enjoy being
cuddled on the couch while you read or watch TV and love having my
tummy scratched. You would have to meet me to love me!!!! I am
all vaccinated and micro/chipped, Oh,!!! I am housetrained too.
If you are interested in meeting me please contact Julia@littlepawsrescue.net

Dixie
Hi
There. My name is Dixie and I am a seven year old spayed female
Papillon. Here I am on a dog walk for the first time in my life
trying out some agility. I think this would be fun in my new home I
can run through the tunnel and climb the a-frame too. now I will
tell you a little bit about me. I was used for breeding most of my
life so like most dogs who have come from a life like mine I have
not been socialized, my foster mom takes me everywhere with her and
I really do enjoy going for car rides in my crate then going for
nice long walks with other dogs we meet up with. I am good with
other dogs, a little shy around strangers but once I get comfortable
I will be your best friend, I love to be cuddled and stroked, and I
enjoy my crate, or a soft bed to snooze in while you go about your
work. I am housetrained and I am eating Amore De-Light Morsels just
like George, and I love this food too, you see, I also have no teeth
because of neglect and not good care they were very bad when I came
to little paws. I am feeling so much better now without them and
ready to face the world head on. I have a great nature once I get to
know you so please give me some thought.

Yorkie
Well
here I am just a little guy waiting for my new home to come along.
My name is Yorkie, at least this is what my foster mom calls me, I
am a three year old neutered male Yorkshire terrier, I am a
very nice little dog with fun personality, I enjoy playing with my
toys. and I am a great walker out on my lead, I get on well with
other dogs once the initial introductions have been taken care of,
after all I am a terrier. I am looking for an adult home with
a family who will have the time to teach me a few manners when out
for a walk, I am housetrained most of the time but sometimes do have
the odd accident so patience is a must for me I am getting much
better. I would also like my new family to be home with me
most of the time and may be even take me to obedience school. I need
a fenced yard in my new home because I enjoy to play in the garden
in my foster home with my friends. I am up to date with all my
vaccinations and I am micro-chipped.
Please contact Julia@littlepawsrescue.net

Maggie
My
name is Maggie. I am a 6 year old, 22 pound, affectionate,
very well trained, spay female Corgi/King Charles Spaniel X. My
former owners did a lot of work with me and I have many commands I
know such as “sit”, “come’, “leave it” –in fact I will come with a
list of words and signals I know to help you make the best of my
training. I am totally house clean. I am very quiet in
the house and guard bark only a little outside. I am living in a
home with several other dogs and getting along very well. A few
tomes I have felt the need to correct a dog that gets too excited
but respond quickly when my foster Mom puts a stop to this. I will
probably function best as an only dog. I like most people but
am a little nervous of men which makes me do some barking at them
when we first meet. I will need an owner(s) that is a definite
leader as it will make me feel more secure, stop me from being
bossy, and keep me from becoming too possessive of my person. I
think I will do best in an adults only home. I am up to date
on my vaccinations and micro chipped for ID. I enjoy long
walks for the exercise and—uh—well to regain my girlish figure. I
really like just to hang out with my person(s) and enjoy their
company and closeness. I hope to live with someone who is around a
lot. I will make a loyal, trusting friend and in return want
care, companionship, and the security of a new home and family.
If you are interested please contact Diana at
diana@littlepawsrescue.net

Farah
My
name is Farah. I am a small terrier mix around six or seven years
old. I was abandoned and in desperate need of vet care. I was taken
to the vet where I was spayed and received a much needed dental
along with blood work. I am still taking antibiotics for a few more
days but I must say I feel so much better. I am very clean in the
house and enjoy to be near my person, I am an affectionate little
dog, I do look forward to my daily walks, I need a little training
when we meet a new dog but do respond when told to stop. I would
like an adult home and would prefer to be the only dog in my new
home even though I am very good with the dogs in my foster home I
feel the attention I received in my new home would be all mine.!!!!
My vaccinations are up to date and I am chipped for ID.

Leroy
Well
hello. My name is Leroy, (baldest dog in the whole dam town) just
like the song says. I am three year old neutered male Yorkshire
terrier with a very nice personality, I am a very busy dog always
looking for someone to play with, I play with my toys a lot throwing
them around the room, I am in a foster home with six small dogs but
none of them want to play with me so I bug them a lot. I love to go
for long walks and am very well behaved when outside, I do not bark
much but I am a terrier so will need lots of exercise and training
in my new home, I would like an adult home and maybe with another
small dog for me to play with, I am not fond of cats. I am
housetrained, crate trained, and micro chipped. All my vaccinations
are up to date. I am a fun little dog with lots to give to my new
person, who should be home most of the time to keep me busy and play
with me.

Max - Pending someone is interested in me!
Yep!
It’s me Max – a friendly, energetic, playful, 2 ½ year old, 12
pound, Terrier X. I am up to date on my vaccinations and micro
chipped for I.D. I am house clean and used to being in my den
(crate) at night and in the car. I get on well with the other
dogs that live in my foster home. I am not at all dominant but love
lots of rough play. chasing, and tussling with them. Although I do
sometimes turn a deaf ear to my foster Mom I am usually quite
attentive and try to do what is asked of me. I am smart and a
willing learner but I do need someone to teach me some basic
commands. Right now I often act nervous because I do not know the
appropriate behavior to present. It would be real fun if someone
would help me learn a few tricks too so I feel like I have a job to
do. I enjoy walks but am a puller –hey one more little challenge for
my new owner. I do not bark very much when I am out but can be a
little noisy at home. Again training and some alternate to barking
will make a difference. I like attention from my person and am
working at becoming comfortable with hugs and being picked up.
I will need lots of exercise to keep me well balanced and happy. You
know the saying “A tired dog is a good dog.” And yes I can relax and
lay about having a good snooze. I am really looking forward to
having a home of my own with someone to play with, walk with, train
with, and share relaxation time with.
If you are interested in being my person please contact Diana at diana@littlepawsrescue.net Thank You.

Joey - Pending someone is interested in me!
My
name is Joey. I am an affectionate, healthy, 8 year old, 12 pound,
neutered male Shih Tzu / Poodle X. My foster family say I am a real
gentleman. I do not shed but do need a trip to the groomers for a
hair cut every now and then. I like to be brushed but must admit I
put up a fuss about my nails being clipped. I am well mannered
around the home and totally house trained. I willing use my den
(crate) at night and in the car. I was doing quite a bit of guard
barking when I was first at my foster home but am responding to
their patient correction and have shown much improvement. I am
getting along well with the other dogs in the house and am also good
with cats. I like most people and really like to be near my special
person. I find small children rather difficult to deal with so would
like a home that is adults only or where the children are older. I
really enjoy my walks, walk nicely on my lead, and rarely react to
other dogs along the way although some big dogs make me a little
nervous. I am a player and do enjoy my toys and someone to play ball
with. I am up to date on my vaccinations and micro chipped for I.D.
I will make a great friend and companion.
If you are interested in giving me a home please contact Diana at
diana@littlepawsrescue.net
Thank you.

Genna - Pending someone is interested in me!
Hello.
My name is Genna. I am a 12 month old spayed female Chihuahua, I am
a wonderful little dog with an exceptional personality, I love
everyone I meet along the way, and I enjoy the company of other
dogs, I am housetrained and do not bark very much, I love to go for
walks and love to cuddle with you on the couch, my foster home has a
lot of doggy toys and I really enjoy pulling them out of the toy
basket and hurling them around the room, I would like a home with a
nice safe yard for me to run circles around, I can run like the wind
and would make a great agility dog. I do need to learn a few manners
like sit and down but other than that I am the perfect dog for a
lucky family. My vaccinations are up to date and I am
micro-chipped for ID. I would like a home where someone is home with
me most of the time or I could maybe go to work with you too.

Sid - Pending someone is interested in me!
Hello
me name is Sid, I am very young Chihuahua, with a strong
personality, my foster mom says I am great little guy, I can be a
little possessive of my person but a quick tcch!!!!!!! I will stop.
I would be fine in an adult home with a strong leader (NO purse type
home would be good for me ) after all I am a dog, and I need to be
treated like one please. I get along well with the other small dogs
in my foster home but tend to chase pussy cats and ferrets.!!!!! So
look out!!! Having said all this, I truly am a very loving
little boy and will make a great companion to the right home, I am
housetrained and enjoy being with my person on a lap curled up as
long as I behave myself. I would have to be watched carefully when
jumping on and off the furniture because of my small little body and
legs. I have funny shaped little back legs and tend to walk on the
wobbly side but the vet says I am just a healthy boy who needs some
muscle toning with walks. I am neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped
for ID and my teeth are sparking clean. Please remember I am looking
for a loving home with a strong leader who is home with me most of
the time, I will be your life time companion.

their picture here so you get an idea of what we look like today.
LIFE IS GOOD!!

Cody - Adopted, I am in my new home!
My
name is Cody. I’m a healthy, well mannered, 9 year old, Poodle X. I
am friendly and love to have fun. I am only making a brief
appearance here because my new owners put their word in for me when
they met Diana while attending a Little Paws Rescue fund raising
event. They are very glad they decided to be there and found out
about me. I must say I am too as I have a great new home with a
wonderful family.
Marlee - Adopted, I am in my new home!
I’m
Marlee, a healthy, 5 year old, 20 pound, spay female Terrier X. I am
up to date on all my vaccinations including Bordatella and Rabies. I
am well behaved around the house and house clean. I am able to
settle and will spend some quiet time with you lying near your feet
or sharing the couch. I sleep quietly in my wire pen at night and do
not disturb anyone in the morning until I am asked to come out. I do
like to warn you and do some guard barking if someone is coming into
the house or I think they may be intruding in the yard. My foster
Mom is teaching me to be quiet when asked and I am doing very well
with my lessons except when I get too excited. I am good with the
other several small dogs in my foster home but find meeting dogs
while out walking makes me want to bark and do some lunging.
Speaking of walking I am not very used to a lead so do some pulling
but again am responding to positive correction in this area. I am a
pretty bright girl. I ride in the car in my den (crate). I
like both men and women but have not lived with children before. I
think young adults or teenagers would be OK, with small children I
would probably be too excitable and rough. I have lots of energy and
like to play and will need some good long walks. I really enjoy
being a companion to my person following them around and hanging out
with them. I guess I have to admit that sometimes I’m a little pushy
about getting attention.
Fudgie - Adopted, I am in my new home!
I’m
Fudgie -- an almost 5 pound , approx 4 year old, spay female
Pomeranian. I am a little shy of new people and have had no
experience with the sounds and sights of the city. They make me feel
scared and uncertain. My new owner will have to patiently help me
grow use to my new life with its new experiences. This also holds
true for helping me learn to walk on lead as again I have little
experience with this. To their advantage is the fact that to me my
person is the most important thing in the world. I want to be with
them as much as possible. I love to sit with them, probably in the
future play with them, and one day enjoy a good walk with them. I
may need to get used to being an only dog something I have never
been. I am sure it has its advantages like more undivided attention.
I do bark but only when I feel you have abandoned me and my foster
Mom says I am barking less and less as the days go by. I am now
quiet after I get in my den(crate) at night and when I am in it in
the car. I am up to date on my vaccinations, micro chipped for
ID, have just had a dental and been professionally groomed. My house
training is not perfect so some work is required in this area but
again I am making progress in the right direction. I am a
lovely, sweet little dog without any aggression at all. I just need
a home where someone will love me and care for me. In return I will
be a totally devoted friend always ready to be near with a snuggle
or to dance around your kitchen or yard trying to figure out what
you are doing. I think an adults only home would be best for me.
Miette - Adopted, I am in my new home!
Miette is my name, this means small and sweet or to my foster Mom it
means “My Girl” (my ette). I do live up to my name and am a precious
little Toy Fox or Rat Terrier. In either case I am a 7 pound, 17
month old, spay female. I am up to date on my vaccinations and micro
chipped for I.D. I am house clean, do bark a little in the
house but stop as soon as I am asked, sleep quietly in my crate at
night, am good on car rides, and do walk on a lead. Much of this I
have had to learn in the last two months. Basically I just want to
be a friendly, happy, loved little dog. Sometimes new situations
make me a little nervous but I have come a long way toward being
able to cope with new things and new people. For those I know I hand
out some very enthusiastic greetings, not only does my tail wag but
my whole body is in motion. Outside in the yard I have a tendency to
want to guard bark so my foster Mom is working at getting me to come
when called so she can call me back to her and stop the noise. I am
good with the other dogs in the house. One of my favorite things is
to cuddle up near you and if you have a blanket there bury myself
under it and have a nice snooze. You will note in the picture
my front leg tends to bend out a little. This does not hinder me
much. The vet thinks this is the result of an injury when I was very
young but we don’t know for sure. I am a very sensitive little
dog that truly wants nothing more than to be loved and treated
kindly. An adults only home will be best for me.
Colby - Adopted, I am in my new home!
Yep,
Colby is my name --- small, black, and full of energy. I am a
friendly, happy, active, interested in all that is around me, 6
pound, 3 year old neutered male Miniature Schnauzer X. My pictures
here didn’t turn out that great but I am one cute little dog. I am
house clean, generally well behaved, sleep at night in my den
(crate) and like car travel. I have to admit I probably bark a
little more than I should when folks come to the door or something
excites me. I am up to date on my vaccinations and micro chipped for
ID. I am getting on well with the other dog in the house but must
let you know that dogs that are too dominant do make me nervous. I
am getting used to the cats in my foster home although do take a run
at them from time to time. I love to play and need my walks
every day as all dogs do. Pleasing you by offering a down, sit,
coming when called, or offering an enthusiastic greeting are
definitely part of my repertoire of charm. I would like a home
where someone is home a lot. I am a big time snuggler and like to
know you are somewhere near. Remember I am little and quick so can
get underfoot very easily. I would prefer a home with adults only or
where the children are older. I am looking forward to having a home
that is forever with someone to have fun with and share my
enthusiasm for life.
