Enif

Hi! I look like a little Ewok so needed a star related name. Consequently I am called Enif. Enif is the brightest star in the constellation Pegasus. I am a very lovable, healthy, 4 year old, 7 pound, spay female Shih Tzu/ Pomeranian X. Cuddling on the couch is great but I am not very fond of being carried around. I am doing well at getting along with the other dogs in my foster home and seldom bark at them anymore. I have had very little experience with a lead but do love to go out for a walk and am really enjoying the yard as long as my foster Mom is out with me. I am up to date on my vaccinations, have just had a dental, am microchipped for ID, and am trained to use a den(crate) at night and in the car. I have shown much improvement with being clean in the house and rarely mark anymore. My hair does grow long and becomes quite unruly so a clip now and then is needed.  I am adorable if I do say so myself.

Mattie

Sweet little Mattie is looking for a home.  Mattie is around 12 years old, she was found abandoned in a park before Christmas in terrible condition. she had not been groomed in years and as a result when picked up her eyes were matted shut. This truly was a sad situation that someone could do a thing like this and still sleep at night! 
Mattie is a very sweet little soul, she is very quiet. Housetrained. No behavior issues and loves to be cuddled.  As a result of her neglect she will require eye drops for the reminder of her life as she now has a condition called Dry Eye, also Mattie has very little vision left, she can find her way around very well once she has found her boundaries'.  The eye medication she requires is called Cyclosporine, this cost must be taken into consideration if you are considering adopting Mattie.  The cost for the eye drops is around $70.00 from a vet, this lasts about 6 to 8 weeks.  Mattie will require a home without stairs, unless you are someone willing to carry her down the stairs a few times a day just like I do with her in my home. She does her business right away and back into the house we go. Mattie is a pleasure to have around, she loves her food and is very content.

Chilli

Here I am—lively, happy, just a puppy 6 months old. Chilly is my name and with good reason. As incredible as it sounds someone left me tied to a telephone pole on one of those cold, cold nights in December. In the morning I was found huddled in a little nylon bed very, very cold, so cold I was hardly able to walk or respond. I am lucky to be alive. Today I am a going concern always ready for a tussle with my dog friends or race around the yard. With that said I do know how to settle and have some quiet time. I am a healthy, 10 pound,spay female, Rat Terrier X. I am up to date on my vaccinations and micro chipped for ID. I peacefully sleep in a crate at night although I do like a big soft blanket to burrow in to stay warm. I love to play with the other dogs but have had to learn a lot about not being too rough and having a little more respect for the older dogs in the house. I have a great sit, respond to retrieve games, am getting better at “come”, and am teachable. I have my loving cuddly side which I am sure you will enjoy. My house training is very near to being accomplished. With very little more work I should have it mastered. I do like walks and am well behaved other than some pulling that a little training will fix.  What more can I say? I will be a great little friend for someone who wants an energetic young dog, to love and care for, have fun with, and to help me become the awesome companion I have the potential to be.

Dante

Hi! Dante here I am a healthy, loving, playful, 10 pound, 2 1/2 year old, neutered Pomeranian X. As you can see I have a beautiful abundant coat that will need brushing 3 or 4 times a week to keep it mat free and looking its best. I am up to date on my vaccinations, have clean teeth, and am micro chipped for ID. I was not used to living with other dogs but since being in my foster home where there are several have adjusted well and do enjoy some chase games in the yard. Admittedly I am a little bossy at times and worry when dogs jump up or are lifted. When I am worried or excited I do bark but other than that am not a big barker. I am gradually getting used to the vacuum and ceiling fan. I am very playful and enjoy my toys either by myself or in a game of tug with another dog. I am a great little walker and behave well on my leash. I rarely do the “catch me if you can” anymore and have learned that coming to my person is a good thing and means hugs or treats both of which I like. When I came into rescue I was not house trained but I have come a long way and now seldom mark. I will need a home where someone is ready to continue my training and is diligent about getting me out in the morning and every few hours thru the day until I have the concept of house cleanliness totally mastered. I like my crate and am very relaxed sleeping in it at night or being in it when my foster Mom has to go out for a few hours.  I will make someone a wonderful devoted companion. I will be affectionate and playful almost immediately and in a short time will learn to trust my new person(s) and we will become true friends.

Cocha

My name is Cocha. I am a 3 year old neutered male Papillon. I am a very nice dog who really wants to find a person who will be my leader. This is what I would like as I have a strong personality but really I am very insecure, I need someone to run with me or do agility. I would love to do agility, as I have a huge desire to work for my supper. I am well behaved on a lead when out for a walk but sometime when another dogs passes I can react but am very to stop when told to. I am an affectionate dog who would manage very well with another dog in the home. I am housetrained and sleep in my crate and travel in the car in my crate too. I enjoy the car, because this means a walk is about to happen, or maybe we are going to visit a friend. I am very intelligent dog. I have just had a dental and my vaccinations are up to date also micro-chipped for ID. I will not do well in a home where you are away all day, a fenced yard is also needed in my new home I enjoy playing outside with the other foster dogs in my home. Cocha is a VERY nice papillon.

Griffin

Hi there! I am Griffin a 4 0r 5 year old, 12 pound, neutered Brussels GriffonX. I am up to date on my vaccinations and micro chipped for ID. I guess you can’t miss the following when you see my picture. I have had some sort of serious accident which has left me with a blind eye, jaw that was broken, and a very significant scar on my head. Oh yes, you noticed the tongue. This is probably the result of an unskilled debarking that left me with damage at the base of my tongue and of course no voice. With all that said don’t you feel sorry for me because I definitely do not feel sorry for myself. I’m a happy, outgoing kind of guy – friendly to all. I have a life to live and it is full of fun, toys, wagging, and play. A few good snoozes on the couch with my person are also in order. I enjoy chase game with the other dog in my foster home and generally get along with other dogs. I have been learning several things –how to sit, come, and wait on command, how to walk on a lead, what cats are and not to chase them, and yes house cleanliness. The last I am getting good at as long as I am let out on a regular bases. My foster Mom is always bragging about what a good student I am. I do need some special care mostly in the form of a face wash after meals. I have no trouble eating but must admit am a little messy. I am crate trained and sleep there at night and am willing to wait there for a few hours if my person needs to go out. I am really looking forward to having a secure and loving home. Something I have not had in the past. I am very good natured and willing to adjust. I do not want someone to feel sorry for me-it does no good- I want a caring friend to share my love and energy with.

Fudgie

Fudgie is my name. I’m a friendly, 4 1/2 pound , 5 year old, spay female Pomeranian. I may be slightly shy to begin with but will soon attach to my new owner. They will soon become the most important thing in my world. I will want to be with them as much as possible -- to sit with them, play with them, enjoy a good walk with them. The sights and sounds of the city may intimidate me a little at first as I have always lived in the country but my foster Mom I have now says I am doing very well with this. I get on well with other dogs and also cats. I may need to get used to being an only dog something I have never been. I am sure it has its advantages like more undivided attention. I do bark but only when I feel you have abandoned me so I guess I need to admit I will do best where my person is home most of the time. I am now quiet after I get in my den (crate) at night and when I am in it in the car.
I am up to date on my vaccinations, micro chipped for ID, and have just had my teeth cleaned. I do have an abundant Pom coat so brushing and combing several time a week is a must. I will be clean in the house as long as you let me out every few hours. I am a lovely, sweet little dog without any aggression at all. I just need a home where someone will love me and care for me. In return I will be a totally devoted friend always ready to be near with a snuggle or to dance around your kitchen or yard trying to figure out what you are doing. I think an adults only home would be best for me.

Eddie

Hi there my name is Eddie. I am Phalene Papillon because my ears are down. I am nearly 4 years old with a very nice personality. I am in a foster home with 2 other papillons and we all get on very well together. My foster mom says I am wonderful boy and she enjoys fostering me. I am well behaved when out for a walk. I sleep in my crate at bedtime. I am housetrained. I am a little on the shy side but very sweet and love to cuddle. I am not fond of the car and get a little car sick but I am sure that will pass in time, I will need regular grooming but NO clipping of my hair after all I am a Papillon. I would like a home with a safe back yard to run around in, another dog would be nice too. Please don’t be away at work all day. I want someone who will be home with me a lot then we can have fun together and become buddies.

Max - Pending someone is interested in me!

Hello, my name is Max, I am a 7 year old Maltese mix with a very sweet personality. My foster mom says I am a very happy content little guy, I have just recently been neutered and had my teeth cleaned too. I enjoy going for walks with the other little dogs in my foster home. I am everybody's best friend, I am a quiet little boy who will need a visit to the groomers every now & then for a trim, I am micro chipped & vaccinated. I am housetrained too love to play in the garden with my friends, I still get a little car sick but this will get better once I get used to going for rides. I would make a wonderful family pet with older children.

Spice - Pending someone is interested in me!

Hello, my name is Spice.  I am a very sweet Spayed female 5 year old Pomeranian. I get on well with other dogs as long as they are small, I am a little afraid of the bigger dogs, I can be a little nervous when out for my walks, but I love to go for my walks anyway as long as I close to my person on my lead. I am housetrained and will let you know when I have to go out. I love to be on a nice warm lap. I do love my person once I get to know you, when I get a little nervous I like to into my crate it becomes my safe place. I do have a beautiful coat so daily grooming is a must for me. I have recently had a dental my vaccinations are all up to date and I am micro-chipped. I would like to find a quiet home with may be another small dog for companionship, and you must be able to be home with me. I would not like to be in a home where you are away all day at work. I am very sweet and very small, Looking for a loving forever home.

Caesar - Pending someone is interested in me!

Hello my name is Caesar. I am a 10 year old neutered male poodle. Sadly my owner had to move into a care home so I have been left looking for a new home. I am the PERFECT little dog but would really like a home where I am the only dog. I have been the only dog all my life and I seem to like that best, then I can get ALL the attention. My foster mom says I am a wonderful little boy. I enjoy being on her lap while she is on her computer, I love to cuddle, I am housetrained & very well behaved when out for my daily walks. I am quiet & very content to hang around with you. I have had my teeth cleaned and vaccinations are up to date.

Sammy - Pending someone is interested in me!

Hi! Sammy here with a few more thoughts and an update. Yes, I am still a 10 year old, friendly, happy, neutered male ShihTzu Bichon X. I keep trying to be so good and stay positive about my adoption but have to admit I am having a little trouble understanding why no one wants me. I really want a home and a person(s) of my own. As far as my age goes I am healthy and must have lots more years to hand out wags and love. I do have some good news that may help. I am very close to house clean. My foster Mom does sometimes have to remind me but not often. I am still doing fine with the other dogs in my foster home and cats in the house would probably not interest me a lot. I like all people but because of my age would probably do best in a home that was adults only or where the children were older. I like my walks and am well behaved on them even if I do pull a little. I am up to date on my vaccinations and have had my teeth cleaned recently. If you want an easy going companion that likes to be with you, enjoys some couch and cuddle time, and is just generally a good natured guy --choose me. I am ready and it would make me very very happy to settle into a forever home.

Tina - Adopted! I am in my new home!

Tina here –just waiting to be your loyal companion. I am a 20 pound, 11 year old, spay female Lhasa Apso. I have just had a dental, am micro chipped for ID, am house clean, and will willingly sleep in a wire den (crate) at night. I also must let you know the groomer was pleased with my good behavior on my recent visit there. I am not pushy about having my person’s attention but do like to be somewhere near just lying on the floor keeping watch. Although given the opportunity I like to grab a toy and play with you. Car rides with you are one of my favorite things. I also enjoy going for walks and the exercise does me good and will help me lose a pound or two. I am being very tolerant of the several dogs in my foster home but will be happiest being an only dog. I like to wait for my meals and by the door without being crowded by other dogs. I am looking forward to being content and happy in my new home. I will return with loyal friendship the love and care you give me.
 

Asha - Adopted! I am in my new home!

Asha here! I’m an awesome little dog. My bright eyes catch all that is happening around me. I am a healthy, active, 11 pound, 5 year old, spay female, Shih Tzu/Pomeranian X. I am just a touch independent and although I like attention and sharing the couch with you I do not require a lot of petting and hugging. I need exercise so walking is a must for me. I enjoy the yard and being outside. My foster Mom is working on helping me not be a barker. I am learning that it is rewarding to forget the target of my barking and come when I am called. I have done well at getting on with the other dogs in my foster home but will stand up for myself if I feel it is justified. I just had my teeth cleaned and am up to date on my vaccinations and micro chipped for ID. I am very good about using a crate at night and for riding in the car. I am house trained. I can hardly wait to be in my new home. I do hope you have a yard.
