Our Successes!
Hello Julia,
I
once again wish to thank you and your members for taking the extra steps to
consider our adoption for Riley over here in rural Alberta.
Little Paws Rescue and Riley have taught us many new things about our animal
care in general and pom care in specific. Unlike our previous rescue and
adoption experiences, of which we are very proud, never before have any of these
animals impacted our operation and improved our awareness as Riley has. He may
as well have come with an instruction manual, as your members have provided us
with additional knowledge, tools and unique awareness for which we are very
grateful. He is responsible for an experience for our family that we can grow
and share with others.
I am convinced Riley stands well for his unique foster care and preparation for
adoption, symbolizes the structure and objectives of your organization, and is
the center of our relationship with your organization that shall last for many
years.
Your group must be commended for your efforts in rescue, your tender loving,
attentive foster care and scrutiny in placement of your little dogs. I am deeply
moved every time I think of all those you can help; and pray your arms can
continue to reach the ones that need your help the most. If we can help, please
let us know.
Riley reciprocates all the love and attention he receives, has a high energy
level and will remain the "lil king" of our home for years to come. Even though
he is having a snooze at my feet at the moment, I know he is very grateful for
your help. Whenever he struts his stuff, pawing the surface he stands upon, I'm
sure he's saying " Hey! Watch me grow. Thank you Julia ! Kisses and Hugs Sharon!
Keep up the good work, ladies!- 4 little paws at a time!"
Thank you very much for allowing us to grow with Riley.
Sincerely
Ken Hervey
Dear Julia
and Little Paws Rescue,
Thought
I would drop you a line and give you an update...
Last weekend
the family took me to Crescent Beach, it was a lot of fun. I sniffed
EVERYTHING! Wow ... who knew crabs and shells could be so interesting? I
was very good and behaved myself (for the most part). I am getting very
good at walking with my leash without pulling on it. I wait at the corners
before crossing with my pack member. I do not bark at everything now, but I
still want to get any birds or cats that I see (I'm working on it, ok?).
"Mum" and I get up every morning and have breakfast, then we go for a walk
and I do my "business". When we get back home it is my job to jump
on my boy's bed and get him up for school, then I go down the hall and jump
on my girl's pillow and I sit there until she gets out of bed.
I keep an eye on "my" kids while mum has her shower in the morning. Once
everyone has done all that they need to, and it is time for school and work,
I go right in my comfy pen (with a cookie, my "kong" treat, a pillow,
blankie, and teddy) to keep Jo (the budgie) company until everyone comes
home. Once the kids’ get home we spend a long time outside playing...you
should see me run after the ball! I always bring it right back to
mum, but I make the boy chase me for it (heehee), sometimes I even let him
catch me!
The kids had fun yesterday taking pictures of me, I looked so cute ... a
nice white dog relaxing on the bright green grass in the sunshine. If they
turn out I will ask my boy to send you a copy.
I will go for now, dad just came home and I have to find out how his day
went at work....
xo "JJ" :)
